From 1 September 2023, there will be changes to the CPF salary ceilings to ensure that the CPF system remains relevant in meeting the retirement needs of resident employees.
The monthly salary ceiling, also known as the Ordinary Wage ceiling, will be increased gradually from $6,000 to $8,000 by 2026 for all employees. This increase will be implemented in four stages, allowing employers and employees to adjust to the changes. The purpose of these adjustments is to align the CPF system with the evolving salary levels in Singapore.
